Brian Irey, CAHA Vice President of Tier Hockey added, “The members of CAHA welcomed the opportunity to award CTHA tier status and commend these four youth hockey associations for working together to structure a quality organization. We believe this type of collaborative structure will prove to be very successful and will be a model for others to create quality tier hockey associations throughout the US.”
CTHA is currently interviewing qualified candidates for its fulltime Hockey Director position. Numerous resumes from were reviewed from many exceptionally qualified candidates. Finalists are being interviewed at this time. CTHA expects to make an announcement regarding its Hockey Director in the next few weeks. Shortly thereafter, CTHA will announce coaching selections and summer camp schedules.

CTHA is a collaborative effort by Arvada Hockey Association, Boulder Hockey Club, Hyland Hills Junior Hockey Association and Northern Colorado Youth Hockey to mutually develop, support and promote a premier Tier I hockey program in the state of Colorado. CTHA’s mission is to create a premier Tier I hockey program by providing a first class organizational structure, a cohesive instructional philosophy, a coordinated progression-based player skill development program, a professional and dedicated coaching and instructional staff, and a coordinated player placement program. The CTHA will strive to provide a healthy and constructive environment, providing a positive influence upon the lives of its youth hockey players, both on and off the ice.
