BHC SUMMER SKILLS CLINICS
DATES: June 5th - July 29th
AGES: Mites-Bantams

CLINIC DESCRIPTION:
Chris Lockrem, Matt Huckins, Jimmy Dexter will run clinics, with the help of BHC Instructors and BHC Head Coaches for 2012-2013 CCYHL Season.
EACH SESSIONS WILL BE SPLIT INTO TWO 20 MINUTE SESSIONS:
(Instructors will end sessions with Small Games or Competitions for 20 minutes)
First session will be Skating, stride work and mechanics, edges, cross overs and unders, fwd and bwd skating, lateral movement, stops, starts, belts leashes and overspeed training with bungee cords.
Second session will be stickhanding passing and shooting and small games. Players will have a puck on their stick for the entire 30 minutes. Shooting technique for, wristers, snap, slap, backhand and one time shooting, stick skills, making moves proper hand technique, saucer passes, fakes, dekes, players will be given the opportunity to take 50-100 reps with a puck each session.

Peewees- Wednesdays 515-615 / Saturdays 1145-1245

CLINIC DESRIPTION:
Chris Lockrem, Matt Huckins, Jimmy Dexter will run clinics, with the help of BHC Instructors. All three Lead Instructors are Professional Power Skating and Skills Instructors and have worked for various Skating Schools through out the North American Continent. Each Instructor will bring his specialty or “flair” to each clinic. Giving players multiple ways to hone their skating and stick skills.

CAMP OVERVIEW:
The 24 players will be divided into two groups of 12 according to age and ability. Each day will focus on positional skating and footwork, players stick skills and their over all positional awareness in all three zones. This is great opportunity for players to learn the "little details" that elite defenseman focus on in order to make the game look easy!

The Directors will bring in current Pro, Div I and Junior players for demonstrations, motivation and to be a "sounding board" for forwards trying to get to the next level.

Each day the Instructors will focus on position specific skating, edges and overdosed along with stick skills in the morning skate. The afternoon session will focus on involving teammates and opposition into each players individual skills sets. Our main focus and number one goal is get each forward to become more comfortable with the puck on their stick in all three zones.

The BHC Hockey Directors will oversee the Boot Camp. Skating, puck touches and conditioning are the top three areas of focus at Boot Camp. Both the on and off ice sessions are put together to push the top players in each group. Players will have their mental and physical toughness pushed at this Camp.
CAMP OVERVIEW:
The camp is broke down into three sessions. The morning on ice session is focused on individual skating, skating puck handling and conditioning. The off ice session is focused on strength, flexibility and agility. The afternoon session will focus on small games, battles and competitions. Everything will have rewards and punishments for winning and losing. BHC will really ouch the players to compete outside their comfort zones during this camp.
